I graduated from Shelbyville Central High School in 2004. I then continued my education at Middle Tennessee State University where I majored in Elementary Education. I graduated with my Bachelors Degree in May of 2008.

During my time at MTSU, I spent time in several schools in Rutherford County and Murfreesboro City Schools. This inlcudes, Campus School, Christiana Elementary, Bradley Academy, and Lascassas. My practicum was done in grades 2nd and 3rd at Campus School, and I completed my student teaching in 3rd grade at Bradley Academy and 5th grade at Lascassas.

After graduating in May of 2008, I spent my first year teaching 2nd grade at Southside School. The next year I began my journey in 4th grade at the newly named Thomas Magnet School. My first 2 years at Thomas were spent as a self-contained teacher with all subject areas as my responsibility. This will be my 3rd year solely teaching math for 4th grade.
